Introduction

The Be My Parent newspaper is a produced every month and contains Children’s Profiles. In the year 2005–06, the Be My Parent newspaper helped 236 children find new families either through adoption or permanent fostering. From May 2007, the Be My Parent service consists of both the newspaper and this family-finding website.

Children’s profiles

Every month, the Be My Parent newspaper features 200-300 profiles of single children and groups of siblings of all ages and backgrounds who need adoptive or permanent foster families. Where possible, each profile is accompanied by a clear, full-colour picture of the child or children.

Several new styles of profiles have recently been introduced in the Be My Parent newspaper including enhanced profiles for single children (double the space) and half and full-page profiles. Children can also be featured on the front cover of the Be My Parent newspaper for an extra fee.
